Trevis Belle awarded Queen’s Young Leader by Queen Elizabeth II
(ZIZ News) — Nineteen year old Trevis Belle is back in St. Kitts after being honoured with The Queen’s Young Leader Award by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II at a ceremony in Buckingham Palace on Thursday June 23.
Upon returning from his trip, Belle spoke with ZIZ about his London experience.
“Travelling to London was quite an amazing thing to be a part of the Queen’s Young Leader’s programme, residential week. There we visited different UK charities such as Media Trust, Redthread and we learned more about them. They are sponsored by the Queen’s Young Leaders programme”
“We also engaged in different training working shops. We visited BBC and Twitter UK Headquarters to learn more about how we can project our stories through storytelling and empowering our stories through the media as well. Then it all came down to the big day, meeting Her Majesty the Queen and receiving our awards at Buckingham Palace”, he explained.
Belle went on to explain his most memorable moment during the ceremony.
